Cupping

The human body increases blood flow to its digestive system to help break down ingested food, resulting in less blood being carried to other bodily tissues. When deprived of food, the body becomes able to redirect blood from its digestive tract to other cellular structures, particularly areas in need of repairing.
• Avoid red meat and dairy products as your body will use a lot of energy on digesting this
• Shower before the treatment ( within 24 hours )
• Complete strenuous chores or all strenuous work before session
• To aid in an effective treatment please ensure areas to be cupped are shaved or trimmed low.
• Drink plenty of water so you don’t feel dizzy after treatment
• Wear comfortable clothing
• Let your therapist know of any medication you maybe on
• Apply olive oil or black seed oil to area where cupping is done to aid healing and as a antiseptic
• Avoid having a shower/bath for 2 days
• Avoid dairy and red meat products for 2 days. You can eat fish, eggs, fruit, vegetables, small portion of chicken only – try to avoid if possible. These foods require more energy and blood flow during digestion, therefore reducing the blood flow to the cupped areas and slowing the healing process.
• Avoid all caffeine/carbonated (fizzy) drinks for 2 days
• You should drink lots of water to stay hydrated & you can drink green tea instead which has better health benefits. Give your lymphatic system the extra fluids it needs to flush your body of the toxins. Cupping acts as a support for your lymphatic system and your lymphatic system clears out cellular wastes from your body- and in turn, your body would need lots of water to do this.
• Avoid strenuous activities for 2 days
